It also covers fabric construction methods such as weaving, knitting, and non-woven techniques, as well as finishes and care of textiles. Emphasis is placed on understanding how fiber and fabric properties influence the performance, durability, and appearance of textile products.
By the end of the course, students will be able to identify various textile materials, understand their structure and performance, and make informed decisions in fabric selection, design, and garment production.
